    Product overview

    Edge Up Cladding Bracket is a load-bearing component within ventilated facade sub-construction systems. It connects vertical holding tracks to the building substrate while providing three-dimensional adjustability for surface irregularity compensation. Manufactured from aluminum (EB-A) or stainless steel (EB-SS), the bracket accommodates thermal expansion through slotted hole geometry. Two functional variants are available: fixed point brackets carrying both horizontal and vertical loads, and sliding point brackets restricting movement to horizontal axis only. Standard projection ranges from 60 mm to 480 mm, adjustable in 10 mm increments via telescopic or spacer configurations.

    Installation sequence

    01
    Substrate preparation
    Identify anchor positions based on structural calculation. Maximum anchor spacing 800 mm horizontally, 1200 mm vertically. Use laser level for reference line transfer.

    Bracket mounting
    Secure bracket to substrate using specified anchors. Achieve torque value 18-22 Nm for M8 fasteners. Compensate substrate irregularity using supplied shim plates.
    03
    Vertical track attachment
    Engage vertical holding track into bracket channel. Tighten locking screws to 15 Nm. For sliding points, maintain 2-3 mm clearance at slot ends for movement allowance.
    04
    Final alignment
    Use bracket levelling screw to achieve final plane within 2 mm per 2 m. Verify plumbness of vertical tracks before proceeding to clip installation.

    Installation requirements

    Substrate conditions
    Concrete minimum strength C25/30. Masonry substrates require through-bolts with backing plates. Steel substructures: use serrated washers to prevent loosening under vibration.
    Thermal movement management
    Sliding point brackets must be installed at intervals not exceeding 800 mm along track length. Fixed point brackets positioned every 8-10 m of continuous facade.
    Corrosion protection
    Dissimilar metal contact between aluminum brackets and galvanized steel substrates requires nylon washer isolation. Stainless steel brackets compatible with most substrates without isolation.
    Quality inspection
    Post-installation torque verification required for 5% of fixed point brackets. Document projection lengths for as-built facade geometry.

    Common technical inquiries

    What is the maximum projection for aluminum vs stainless steel brackets?
    Aluminum EB-F and EB-S support projections up to 300 mm. Stainless steel variants extend to 480 mm. For projections exceeding 480 mm, custom engineering and bracket reinforcement are required.
    Can sliding and fixed point brackets be mixed on same track?
    Yes. The system design requires one fixed point per continuous track run (typically every 8-10 m) with all intermediate brackets as sliding points. This configuration accommodates thermal expansion while maintaining facade plane.
    What fastener type is recommended for concrete installation?
    Chemical anchors (injection mortars) provide highest reliability for facade applications. For C25/30 concrete, M8 x 80 mm anchors with 60 mm embedment depth achieve design loads. Mechanical expansion anchors acceptable for non-cracked concrete only.
    How to address substrate irregularities beyond bracket adjustment range?
    EB brackets provide ±5 mm via levelling screw. For deviations up to 30 mm, use supplementary shim plates stacked between bracket and substrate. Deviations beyond 30 mm require substrate preparation prior to bracket installation.
